Nicki Minaj is catching heat from one concerned college student. Poet and University of Wisconsin student Jasmin Mans had some choice words for the rapper and her fellow “Barbies” in her poem appropriately titled “Nicki Minaj.” The criticism of the reigning queen of hip-hop has not gone unnoticed thanks to YouTube.
There’s not one thing about Nicki Minaj that people haven’t criticized. If there’s any sign you’ve hit it big, it’s when you get people talking. From her style to her accents, the rapper has managed to consistently make herself the buzz of music industry. However, Mans seems to think all this talk might not be for the right reasons.
Mans has been traveling to various college campuses performing her poem “Nicki Minaj” and driving audiences wild with her MC-like lines. “We have been waiting centuries for a woman like you to carve your stiletto in history,” recites Mans. “This microphone is not a d***o so you are going to have to c*m a little harder than that.” Video of Mans performing the hard-hitting poem at UW’s Stomp Da Madness has already gained over 200,000 views.
